How to track tailoring orders, fittings and delivery dates

Short answer. Give every order a stage, a fitting date and a promised delivery date, and review open orders each morning by what is due next. Note the occasion date and plan backwards from it, leaving time for alterations. Atelier Elite shows open orders with their status, fittings and delivery dates on a calendar, and on paid plans can send customers WhatsApp updates with their consent.

Use a few clear stages

Too many stages are never kept up to date. Most boutiques need three that everyone understands: in production, ready and delivered. Add internal steps such as cutting or embroidery only if someone will actually update them.

Review open orders every morning

  1. List orders due in the next few days, oldest promise first.
  2. Check today’s fittings and appointments.
  3. Call customers whose garments are ready but not collected.
  4. Move dates early, and tell the customer, when something will be late.

Fittings and alterations

Book the fitting when you take the order, not when the garment is nearly done. Leave enough time after the fitting for alterations, especially for bridal and heavy embroidery work. Record what changed at each trial so the next person knows.

Orders with several garments

Wedding orders often include several outfits for one family. Track each garment with its own price and status so you can hand over what is ready without losing track of the rest.

Keep customers updated

A short message when a garment is ready, a reminder before a fitting and a note about the balance due save many phone calls. Message only customers who have agreed to receive updates.
